Nightly News for January 4th
- As a reminder there is no staff meeting today. Please use this time to look over slides (below), catch up on planning, etc. If you have time make a few positive calls home!
- We were asked to go over these slides with staff in regards to the new "Test to Stay" program. Here is a link to the training slides . Since we have made the decision to give you today's staff meeting time for planning please take a moment to review on your own. Please feel free to ask Emily or I for any clarification you may need.
- Shannon sent some information out, but it is worth repeating. IF you are not feeling and have symptoms that keep you from reporting to work please report to Emily or me ASAP. We will need to fill out a STT for you. This information goes to the county/nurse and THEY MAKE decisions on next steps. For the most part the decisions we are seeing come back require staff to have a negative COVID test. Without one staff can not return for ten days. For all staff members that test positive for COVID-19, we will need to complete the Staff/Student COVID Information Form (SCIF). Please note in order to receive paid quarantine days you have to have a positive test result OR a note from your health care provider or the county saying they advise you not to return to work until test results are in. Please refer to the FAQ from payroll.
- The district's current protocol is that we only test students or staff that are in the building. We are not to test students/staff who are at home. I am aware of the delay in testing options and in some cases people have had to wait several days to get in to take a test. I will bend the rules and if staff is out with symptoms they can come to the building and we will test them outside of the building (i.e you can wait in your car, etc.). We can not send the tests home as we have one bottle of a solution that is needed to conduct the test. We will not be able to provide tests for family members etc. at this time. I would strongly encourage everyone to have some tests on hand just to be safe.
- Shannon and/or myself will be checking in with staff who we reached out to in regards to our fire safety report. If you received an email requesting you to remove lights, paper, or other violations please make sure you have taken care of this.
