Nightly News for January 19th
- K-95 masks are available in the office if you need them. These are for staff only.
- We are currently missing the walkie talkie from the cafeteria. Please return to the front office if you have it.
- Middle School Homeroom teachers please make sure you address this email Stacey sent out: Teachers, before any students leave for FLEX time tomorrow, please have your class fill out this form to let us know what electives they would like for 2nd semester. Their choices are not guaranteed but we will do our best to schedule students in classes they'd like. Please post the google form to canvas as well for any students who are out. Thank you!!
Next week is The Great Kindness Challenge! Here is a video you can share with your students and here is a slideshow that includes books and simple activities to accompany each daily challenge.
I think it's ok to ask students to continue the challenge at home on Friday (COVID safe, of course).
I will also be putting "caught being kind" sheets in everyone's boxes. Please remind students to fill them out! There is a box in the office to turn them in.
Please watch the videos before sharing with your class! A lot of this is geared toward elementary but middle school can definitely still work the challenges in the counseling/social work team :)
- The reading team will be working to support winter bench marking tomorrow and Friday. Reading groups will be cancelled.
- Teachers we are asking that parents refrain from bringing in cupcakes, cookies, etc for Birthday celebrations at this time. We are going to encourage them if they want to bring something to have it be prepackaged so students can take it home with them at the end of the day. If you have a newsletter, Remind, class communication please share this out. It will be going in our Weekly Newsletter as well.
